Tattoo pre-care
The process of a tattoo begins long before the moment of taking a seat in the tattoo chair; at the point when you start to prepare your body & skin for the procedure.
The quality of your „canvas” is a vital factor to ensure achieving the highest quality results.
Many things can influence the quality of your „canvas” both in the long and short term. If youfollow my suggestions, I can help you ensure getting the best possible end results.
Attention!
In case you do not follow the given advice and thus do not prepare your body and skin properly (your skin is too dry, you got a sunburn or have been to the solarium or you have a hangover, you are exhausted etc.), the work is going to take longer which will affect the final price. Without following my pre-care instructions, I can not guarantee the quality either, and therefore I will have to charge extra fees for the correction (in case it is needed). In extreme cases, I can even withdraw from further work together.
2 weeks before your appointment:
Avoid going to the solarium or excessive sun exposure!
Natural body lotion alternatives: shea butter, olive oil, coconut oil + body scrub 1x a week
Do not shave the body part – I will do it on the day of your appointment!
Do not visit thermal baths or aquaparks/pools as the chlorine treated water will dry out your skin.
Make sure you consume a plenty of vitamin C.
Milk thistle seed oil: Take one teaspoon daily, on its own. Thanks to its regenerating effects on the liver, it will help your body cope with the tattoo. (Use only in case of full or half-day sessions.)
On the day before your appointment, have a hearty dinner, go to bed early and make sure to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep. Start the next day with a nutrient-rich breakfast. A cup of coffee is fine, but please do NOT drink any energy drinks. Bring enough food for the day in case you are going to have a full-day session. Whilst getting tattooed, make sure to drink plenty of water – you will tolerate the procedure better.
Do NOT consume/use alcohol/narcotic substances at least 1 week before your appointment. Especially the day/night before your appointment.
